_Discontinued: Corally F1SL Formula 1
Launched: mid 2011
This is an older car from Corally but still available. Like many manufacturers it has a lot in common with their 1/12th scale car and some parts are interchangeable. The major draw back is it only accepts foam tyres and only Corally foam tyres at that.
These cars were very popular in Queensland.
The 1/12th scale front end is not very scale looking.
When formulating the National Rules a great deal of discussion took place about whether to make this Corally, and its predecessor, legal. Its foam tyres are wider than those of any other F1 car giving a grip advantage in some conditions. You can see a summary of the discussion on our Rules FAQ page. The Corally is legal at time of writing (January 2013).
