Ron Wilson Trophy Results
1 December 2013
The Ron Wilson Trophy ran today at Adrenalin Arena in Dandenong, Melbourne. Results and photos.
As you can see from the photo above the new Adrenalin Arena building has only just been purchased for use as Melbourne's only permanent indoor track. It is a credit to the owners and many volunteers that they have produced such a good facility in such a short period of time.
Adrenalin opened for the first time last Friday and the Ron Wilson Trophy was run today (Sunday 1 December). SERCCC Race Director Wayne Rabot was very complimentary of the facilities, as was every racer I spoke to.
The facilities are still being added to but the core infrastructure of asphalt track, concrete kerbs, drivers stand, transponder loop and pit area are working well.
It was a warm 30C air temperature and drivers I spoke to were very happy with the grip.
3 qualifiers and 3 finals were run. The photos below are from F1 Qualifer 3.
