Euro Touring Series Rd 5 Results

The Euro Touring Series (ETS) finished yesterday and thanks to Red RC full results, photos and even a video is already available.
This was Round 5 of the 6 round series. Only 3 classes competed: Modified, Stock and F1. 33 drivers competed in F1.
Red RC reports "The Speed Passion Formula class saw Roman Pichler again get the better of Top Qualifier Jan Asmer in Leg 3 to claim the win and his second overall victory of the season. However for Asmer second on the podium ahead of last year’s champion was enough to secure the Serpent driver the overall 2012/13 ETS title."

An exciting battle in Leg 2 of the A-Main:
Maximum wide: 180mm
- Front independent king pin, coil spring suspension is allowed. Suspension pick up points must be mounted inside the body.
- The main chassis plate must not protrude from the body when viewed from above

Only RIDE pre glued tires and wheels are allowed:
Only non smelling additive is allowed.
Original Tamiya and HPI body sets only.
Must sport a race inspired design like a real Formula 1 car.
For Tamiya F104 chassis, all original Tamiya tuning parts are allowed.
For HPI Formula Ten chassis, all original HPI tuning parts are allowed.
Other chassis plates and tuning parts are strictly forbidden.
Every driver has to buy a new motor each season. All new motors have a numbered sticker on the outside so you will have the same numbered motor (for example Nr.12) for the complete season. The motors will be sealed and it is forbidden to open the them at any time during the race weekend. You will get your motor every race on practice day or before the heats and after the race you will give your motor back. For the following round of the series you will be given the same motor back to use. At the end of the season every driver will get his/her motor to keep.
If you need a replacement motor you can buy it for €50, but you have to give in your broken motor to ETS officials.
Rental of Motor:
The Speedpassion formula motor can be rented for €10 per race from ETS officials.
Speed Control for Formula:
Only Speedpassion Cirtix Stock Club race no. 12280 allowed. No modifications allowed. No modifications allowed however the wires can be changed, but they must be the same size as original.
If you use speedo without the supplied cooling fan, you are not allowed to start. If you race without fan, your heat/final will not be counted. Cirtix speedos can be bought for a special ETS-price of €49 per season.
Rental of Speed Control:
The Cirtix speedo can be rented for €10 per race from ETS officials.
For the new season we now allow all Short LiPo packs.
Entry fee Formula:
35 Euro – 1 set of tires costs €25 per set and you are allowed to use your marked race set for more than one race.
